Hello and Welcome to The Dirt!
This week we have news of our own and it is exciting at that! YOU HAVE TO CHECK OUT OUR NEW WEBSITE!!! Now, not only do we have a spiffy database that logs and sorts and chugs happily along in the background doing what it does best. But finally now you too can see the wonderful web site look and feel designed in collaboration with a web design class from Portland State University. Many Kudos and Thanks go out to Jeremy, Kara, Ryan and Zeratha as well as the class members themselves for their help and great dedication in implementing this. IT IS REALLY WONDERFUL!!!! I think it's zippy and all the rest. Hopefully it also is much easier to navigate and find your way around. Login and share your thoughts on how well you like it.
PS. If there are any of you out there that might be interested in or have ever considered writing an introduction for us as a Songster Writer we are having a conference call tonight to discuss future directions. Call 971-645-9510 to find out how to join in the discussion.
Cheers!
Enjoy this week's Dirt!

Urban Wild: Soulfully Connecting People to Place
Sacred City, Living Earth Workshop
***Ecopsychology is a new field, recognizing that human health cannot be separated from the health of the whole, and must include mutually enhancing relationships between humans and the non-human world. Ecopsychology attempts to bridge the gap between humanity and the earth, between ecology and psychology, to learn to see the needs of the person and the needs of the planet as interrelated and interdependent*** This four hour workshop explores old and new concepts of nature, relationship with place, watershed consiousness, and actions toward sustainable urban living. Using experiential tools from the field of Ecopsychology, we will open our senses to the world, discovering life sustaining connection with the Earth and new methods of effective activism. Through both individual and group activities, we create new understanings of relating to our sacred city and living earth.
