The trip will cross the Willamette River and circumnavigate around Hardtack and East Islands, and downstream along the quiet Holgate Channel. From there we’ll paddle into the Ross Island lagoon to look for Bald Eagles. You are responsible for bringing and maintaining your own kayak/canoe. Canoe and kayak rentals can be arranged through Alder Creek Kayak & Canoe (www.aldercreek.com, 503-285-0464) or Portland Kayak Company (www.portlandrivercompany.com, 503-459-4050).
