City Repair invites you and your community to propose a project for the 2006 Village Building Convergence. Projects can be place-oriented, ecological, artistic, structural, social, even alive! The main goal is to promote cooperative, community-based efforts to reconnect with each other and enhance the places we live. Join us in gaining a clearer understanding of the theory and application of ecological design via lecture, visual presentations,case studies, discussion, site design exercises and lots of hands-on experience. Permaculture is a whole-systems method of design that offers ways we can create a more permanent culture by conscious, sustainable use of resources in all aspects of living. REKNOWNED INSTRUCTORS INCLUDE: Toby Hemenway, author of Gaia's Garden: A Guide to Home-Scale Permaculture. His articles appear in national magazines. AND Jude Hobbs, horticulturist, permaculture designer, and instructor.  Where: On the Big Island near black sand beaches, natural steam vents, and many other Hawaiian treasures. We are among a network of other Permaculture farms you will have the opportunity to visit.
