City Repair invites you and your community to propose a project for the 2006 Village Building Convergence. Projects can be place-oriented, ecological, artistic, structural, social, even alive! The main goal is to promote cooperative, community-based efforts to reconnect with each other and enhance the places we live. Living Earth is bringing author Richard Heinberg to Portland for a series of events addressing the issues and challenges of creating a post-carbon future.

Author of "The Party’s Over" and "Powerdown: Options and Actions for a Post-Carbon World," in this talk Heinberg will present clear data about declining global fuel resources, and explore the choices and actions available to cities and individuals for addressing the end of cheap, abundant fossil fuels.
