Urban Wild: Soulfully Connecting People to Place
Sacred City, Living Earth Workshop
***Ecopsychology is a new field, recognizing that human health cannot be separated from the health of the whole, and must include mutually enhancing relationships between humans and the non-human world. Ecopsychology attempts to bridge the gap between humanity and the earth, between ecology and psychology, to learn to see the needs of the person and the needs of the planet as interrelated and interdependent*** This four hour workshop explores old and new concepts of nature, relationship with place, watershed consiousness, and actions toward sustainable urban living. Using experiential tools from the field of Ecopsychology, we will open our senses to the world, discovering life sustaining connection with the Earth and new methods of effective activism. Through both individual and group activities, we create new understanings of relating to our sacred city and living earth.
