If you are not already aware of it, thought you would be interested in a new film out: The Real Dirt on Farmer John. Saw it last night at Guild as part of Pine Film Festival. Very moving film. You may want to put this on your schedule. There is a showing on Jan. 28 at Cinema 21. Anyone interested in community agriculture will love this film. But it is also so much more than that.

Synopsis: "The Real Dirt on Farmer John is an epic tale of a maverick Midwestern farmer who transforms his traditional family farm with a revolutionary form of agriculture. Castigated as a pariah in his community, John bravely resurrects his farm amidst a failing economy, vicious rumors, and arson. He creates a bastion of free expression and alternative agriculture in the center of rural America."
