Create beautiful landscapes, protect the environment and attract wildlife to your yard with Naturescaping for Clean Rivers. Naturescaping is landscaping with native plants adapted to our climate and using environmentally-friendly gardening practices. Native plants are resistant to native pests and diseases, and require less watering and less, if any, chemical application. Naturescaping can also address pollution problems by helping to control erosion, and reduce polluted runoff. During this FREE four hour workshop, view before and after Naturescaping examples, take a field trip to a nearby project, get advice on landscape design and native gardening, receive a workbook and free native plant, network with neighbors, and identify native plants. Topics include: time and maintenance benefits, reducing water pollution and water use, increasing and improving wildlife habitat, watershed stewardship, project planning, and many great Naturescaping tips.
