Congregation members interested in food, hunger and creation stewardship are invited to join Ecumenical Ministries of Oregon (EMO)’s Interfaith Food and Farms Partnership to receive training on how to conduct a grassroots food assessment in the Rockwood neighborhood. The day-long training will be led by Sharon Thornberry, Community Food Programs Advocate for the Oregon Food Bank and President of the Community Food Security Coalition. Participants will learn about what is currently known about hunger in the Rockwood neighborhood, simple tools for gathering information and how food assessments can lead to action.
