The Berry Botanic Garden will hold its annual Fall Plant Sale Saturday, September 23, at Montgomery Park, 2701 NW Vaughn St., Portland.

Hours are 10 a.m.-11 a.m. for Garden members and 11 a.m.- 3 p.m. for the general public.  MasterCard and Visa, personal checks and cash will be accepted.  Admission and parking are free.  Garden members receive a 10% discount on purchases.

More than 20 specialty vendors are expected, offering thousands of unusual plants for the avid plant collector and the casual gardener.  The event will showcase plants native to the Pacific Northwest, specialty alpine plants, dwarf conifers and bonsai, and perennials.

"Fall is the best time to plant most shrubs, trees and perennials in our climate as the temperatures are cooling and rains are on the way," says Berry Botanic Garden Executive Director Scott Vergara, "and we will have a wide variety of offerings."
