Sierra Club Third Thursday – September 21 at 7 PM

Come enjoy a film with us! We will hold an election to decide which DVD to view.

The candidates are:

-The Corporation: an examination of the rise of corporate personhood, and its effects on American society and politics.

-Orwell Rolls in His Grave: A critical examination of the Fourth Estate, once the bastion of American democracy. Asking whether America has entered an Orwellian world of doublespeak where outright lies can pass for the truth, the film explores what the media doesn’t like to talk about: itself.

-You Can't Be Neutral on a Moving Train: Featuring rare archival materials and interviews with Howard Zinn, author of “A People’s History of the United States,” this film captures the essence of this extraordinary man who has been a catalyst for progressive change for more than 60 years.

Attendees are invited to bring in their own DVDs as write-in candidates.
It must be a democracy if there's an election, right?

Drinks and delicious snacks provided!  Bring a friend.
