Waucoma Ridge Mountain Bike Ride, OR

Strenuous: 18 miles, 2400-ft. elev. gain

Mountain bike Waucoma Ridge with Friends Leader Jeff Richard.  Begin at Rainy Lake trailhead to ride the Rainy-Wahtum trail and a gravel road toward Indian Springs. 

First Meeting Place: Depart 8:00 AM from Gateway Park & Ride Transit Center (Meet in SE corner of 3-levle parking garage)

Second Meeting Place: 10:30 AM at Rainy Lake Trailhead (I-84 east to West Exit 62 Hood River; head toward town for 1.1 mile, turn right onto 13^th St. at traffic light.  Follow signs for Odell for 3.4 miles and cross Hood River Bridge.  Take a right-hand fork past Tucker park for 6.3 miles then fork to the right again toward Dee.  Cross the river, turn right, follow signs for Rainy Lake.  Go straight on Punchbowl Road for 1.4 miles and continue on washboard gravel Road 2820 for 11.5 miles to the trailhead).
