| Winter Youth Grow Volunteers Needed ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 1-2 adult volunteers are needed to assist with our after school Youth Grow Garden Club on Thursday afternoons from 3-5:30 in SE Portland. We will be starting & caring for plants under a grow light, doing simple experiments, planning spring gardens, playing games, making garden art and encouraging healthy eating through eating & preparing simple vegetable snacks. We have two groups of 15 elementary aged students for 45 minutes sessions that are back to back. These students are lively, fun, love to do hands on projects and are interested in growing gardens. Volunteers need no gardening experience, but do require a zest for working with children and good communication skills. A background check is required and we ask for a 7 week commitment (3 hours, once a week- January 11th-Feb 22nd). For more information contact Caitlin at Caitlin@growing-gardens.org or 503-284-8420 | Volunteer Garden Mentors needed ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Do you love to garden?
