The health and maintenance of a watershed are the responsibility of everyone who lives, works, and plays within that watershed. The Bureau of Environmental Services can help you make your watershed a healthier place. Receive up to $10,000 from the watershed stewardship grants program when you work to encourage watershed protection and enhancement in your community. Previously funded projects include restoration, naturescaping, bioswales, ecoroofs, and watershed education. Projects must be within the City of Portland, promote citizen involvement in watershed stewardship, and benefit the community. Grant money can be used for supplies, materials, equipment and room rentals. Up to $3,000 can be used for technical assistance and project coordination.
