Volunteers needed! Friends of the Forest Day- Dodge Park, May 17Submitted by Meghan McGuire on Mon, 05/05/2008 - 12:51.
Hi Dirters!
On behalf of the National Forest Foundation and the Portland Water Bureau, I would like to invite you to Portland's historic Dodge Park on Saturday, May 17, from 9am until 1pm. Come help treat trees, help protect salmon habitat, explore this Portland park and learn about the city’s plans to help salmon thrive there! After a few hours of work a pizza lunch will be served, during which we will learn about the biology of salmon from a local expert. Please register for this event at www.becomeafriend.org/volunteer. In addition to Dodge Park, we have a packed schedule of events definitely worth checking out this year! If you are a hiker interested in trail building, check out our Multnomah Falls, Sandy River Delta, and Timberline Lodge events. If you feel like travelling up to Mt. Baker later on this year, please join us at Gold Creek Pond. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or concerns. My office number is (503) 808-2695, or you can email me at mmcguire@natlforests.org Thanks again, and hope to see you soon! -Meg ( categories: Restoration & Parties )
