Plant Trees with SOLV in Cornelius on Sat Nov 8!Submitted by info@solv.org on October 16, 2008 - 3:00pm
Plant Trees and help restore Council Creek watershed in Cornelius at SOLV’s Team Up For Watershed Health sites on Saturday, November 8th. By planting native trees and shrubs in these areas volunteers will be creating habitat for future generations of birds, small mammals, and fish. Plantings start at 9 am and end by 12 pm.
This property was recently acquired by Metro with the intent of protecting the wonderful habitat that exists and restoring the area that is overgrown with invasive plants. SOLV is working in partnership with Clean Water Services, the Neighborhood Watch, and Metro to re-establish the tree cover. This is the second year we have been planting at this site and there is lots of work to be done!
