PPG meeting Oct 19 - make a rocket stove!

Event
When:
Monday, October 19, 2009 - 6:00pm - 9:00pm

Make your own rocket stove!  You will need to bring one #10 can, along with its removed lid (make sure it has a real lid, not a foil pull-tab) and 4 fruit or soup cans (again, without pull-tab lids or rounded bottoms)that are all the same size.  You will also need a good pair of tin snips.  These are not too expensive and are a handy tool.  Possibly two people could share one, but you will spend a fair amount of your time cutting with it.  Another time-saver is to make 12 (approximately) equally-spaced marks with a Sharpie pen around the #10 can, 1" down from the top of of the can (on the outside).  It's hard to make them exactly even, but "pretty even" is good enough.  Just don't make 11 wide ones and one skinny one!  : )  Here's everything to bring to be fully equipped.  If you can't get everything, try to get the cans and the snips, but if you can't, come anyway to learn how to do it!
