PPG 11/16 meeting - Bringing Bees into Your Backyard

Event
When:
Monday, November 16, 2009 - 6:00pm - 9:00pm

You don't have to be a beekeeper to have a big positive impact on bees. Bees will travel up to two miles to find what they need to stay healthy and vigorous. I'll show you simple ways to invite bees into your yard where they can pollinate to their heart's content. You provide them with what they need to stay vital in our landscape and while doing so, your garden and fruit trees flourish. I extend a special invitation to people who are squeamish or fearful of bees. Once you understand their nature, bees become friends you love being around.

Taught by Jacqueline Freeman, a biodynamic beekeeper and educator. Jacqueline's farm is Friendly Haven Rise, located in Venersborg, WA.

*This presentation will feature highlights from Jacqueline's full-day bee workshop, information is available on her most recent post to the PPG list.   The optional potluck starts at 6pm - please bring your own plate/cup/utensils and a yummy dish to share.  The meeting topic starts at 7pm.
