Hi, my name is Megan Gibb. I moved to Oregon from Michigan a few years back in part because of the abundant natural and recreational resources of our state. It wasn't long after I got here that I found Oregon Wild. I now serve on the Oregon Wild Board of Directors and am proud to support our mission of protecting Oregon's wildlands, wildlife, and waters.
We're always looking for unique and fun ways to connect to our supporters and raise money for our conservation campaigns. I'd like to invite you to our most recent brainstorm--the inaugural Oregon "Aces" Wild Poker Tournament.
I'll be hosting this one night event on Friday, July 31st. Your $50 entrance fee will get you a seat at the table, some snacks and drinks, and the chance to play your way to our grand prize--a rafting trip for two from All Star Rafting on one of the northwest's premier whitewater rivers. The runner-up will win a hiking gear package from REI.
Like your old-growth forests left standing? All proceeds from this Texas Hold 'Em tournament will go to support Oregon Wild's work to protect old-growth forests, designate Wilderness areas, and keep our waters clean and running free.
If poker isn't your thing, there are tons of other ways to support Oregon Wild and connect with your community. We have two beautiful films (old growth and wolves) to offer to supporters who invite neighbors, friends, coworkers, and family over to learn about Oregon Wild and our conservation campaigns. Find out more about hosting an Oregon Wild House Party.
Thanks for your support.
For "aces" and Oregon Wild,
Megan Gibb
