John Kaufmann bio
John is a Senior Policy Analyst with the Oregon Department of Energy, responsible for oil and natural gas supply issues. He has worked with that agency for over 25 years, starting as one of the nation's first state-level solar energy specialists. John received a Professional Achievement Award from the American Planning Association in 1988 for his work in getting 25 cities in Portland, Oregon metropolitan area to adopt solar orientation and solar rights ordinances. He managed Oregon's Business and Residential Tax Credit Programs, and Building Technologies program for 10 years. About John's presentationJohn is available for presentations at conferences as well as for government and public audiences.
