Please join us for a great day of planting native and (some) ornamental plant species in this new swale!  The swale will slow, store, and treat stormwater runoff before it enters Vermont Creek.  Join your neighbors for a chance to learn about your watershed, stormwater runoff, naturescaping, and environmental restoration in the area.

This year's topic will center on sustainability and the environment. The featured speakers will be Bill McKibben and Dr. Cynthia Moe-Lobeda. McKibben is the author of The End of Nature, a classic work on the environmental crisis. His most recent work is titled Wandering Home. Moe-Lobeda is the author of Healing a Broken World: Globalization and God. Her latest work is Public Church: For the Life of the World. She is an associate professor at Seattle University.
