Restoration Seedball Rolling

Event
When:
Thursday, October 15, 2009 - 6:00pm - 8:00pm

Mix Clay, Compost and Native Wildflower seeds and "presto!" you have restoration seedballs.

Earlier this summer during a Volunteer Day at a Columbia Land Trust site in Clark County, Chapman Greenspace, volunteers removed an understory of shiny geranium, from a mature Doug fir stand. The volunteers decided they wanted to do more than remove invasives, so they have organized an effort to make seedballs and replant the cleared area with native wildflowers and grasses.

Join us to mix clay, compost and native wildflower seed into small marble-sized balls, which will be used to replant Chapman Greenspace and take some home for your own backyard.

For more information on seedballs visit: www.wildflower.org/howto/show.php?id=17&frontpage=true
