WHAT A community event to benefit the Village Building Convergence. Come together for a convivial evening of food, wisdom, and music! Come get a taste of VBC and help support us to make VBC2010 the most powerful, transformative community building event this city has ever seen. Lets do this together!

Conceptual artist Carolyn Campbell will be featured in SCRAP's Re:Vision Gallery for the months of April and May. The exhibit, entitled Fertile Ground, explores the inner spiritual and artistic landscape in 32 collages.

Community Exchange Institute Survey - Volunteer Orientation

 Want to improve your resume and the Portland/Oregon economy at the same time? Care for some rock solid research experience to include in your professional skills and abilities? Or perhaps you are looking for volunteer opportunities that make will make a huge impact in all sectors? Look no further! So, bring yourself, your friends, and about 10 hours of your time.

 

The Community Exchange Institute continues to make progress in its research of the trade exchange/commercial barter industry to help reignite Portland’s economy! Collin Ferguson, Sarah Noyes, and Cynthia Casas recently traveled to Colorado to study with industry leaders where they learned the critical business drivers necessary to operate a trade exchange.

Celebrate the first day of spring with Friends of Trees’ biggest planting of the season!

We only have a few more planting events this season and March 20th promises to be a huge weekend for new trees!  With two events in Portland, one in Tualatin and one in Vancouver, Friends of Trees will be planting several hundred trees – and we need your help!

 

 

All you need to do is simply show up around 8:45am at the staging sites listed below.  Friends of Trees will provide morning refreshments, gloves, and tools, as well as guidance from experienced volunteer crew leaders. We just ask that you wear sturdy shoes and dress appropriately for the weather.

 

NORTHEAST PORTLAND

Greening East and Northeast Portland with Friends of Trees this Saturday
